Great tour for visitors on a limited stay in Anchorage like me. Kris, our guide, was an excellent host and was such delight during the whole trip. Definitely recommend!

This tour is a must for anyone visiting Anchorage. We got up close to a beautiful glacier, saw Beluga whales, visited an animal refuge, and saw lots of Salmon. Our guide Kris was a hoot! Very knowledgeable with an awesome repertoire of song and poems. Thanks for a memorable day Kris!

Gorgeous September day to drive up the Turnagain Arm, sail to Portage Glacier and visit the Wildlife Conservation Center. Our driver was very informative and very entertaining. Along the way there he pointed out the Beluga whales, eagles and a wolf running along side of us on the beach! Ended the day with a stop to see the salmon and then a view of Denali in the Chugach State Park near Flattop mountain. An unforgettable day!

I suppose you could go to any of the places on this tour on your own, but it was nice not to have to worry about driving, parking, and above all, it was nice to get a lot of information about Alaska from a local. The guide was very informative and gave us a lot of information about where we were going and about life in Alaska in general, but I think he should keep his personal perspective on climate change to himself. As a guide, I think he should remain neutral and not offer his personal take on being the denier of the climate change. Other than that, we were content with the guide as well as the tour.

907 tours was amazing. Our driver/guide, Susan was so knowledgable and very funny. We had a really lovely day, even though it rained so hard for most of it and we were trudging around in mud most of the time. Portage Glacier up close was great. The Alaskan Wildlife Conservation Centre was very good, but hard to rate properly as we were rained on so hard here, but this is not the tour guides fault and she did everything she could to make us comfortable. Highly recommended.

This was a fantastic trip! Our wonderful guide is a long-time Alaskan and is very knowledgeable about the places we went and what we saw. What a great start to our Alaskan adventure! I wouldn't change a thing!

Great trip! Our driver/guide, Susan, was excellent with a thorough knowledge of the area and a delightful personality. Much of the cost and value of the tour is related to the exceptional personalized service with all details worked out. The drive to Portage Glacier is spectacular, and the van is very comfortable with a nice high ceiling. The boat ride to view the glacier is tame, so no Dramamine needed. If you have never seen a glacier up close, this trip will be quite an experience. The lunch at the Portage Glacier restaurant offers an opportunity to get some great chowder, sandwiches and cookies. Food is not cheap, so plan on spending 7 for soup and 8 for sandwiches. The wild animal conservancy allows you to see all the key land animals of Alaska. The tour is a nice way to meet fellow travelers from around the globe. The areas of the tour were also essentially mosquito free. You need to allow most of the day for the tour, and in the summer you will have plenty hours of daylight. Of note, we booked the tour through Viator, and the printed information incorrectly identified our hotel as not a pick up site. We were very pleased to have the van pick us up and drop us off at the hotel. Just call the local phone number if any concerns. Hope you enjoy your travels!
