We enjoyed this tour. Also, the guide was engaging and pleasant. The tour felt a bit rushed though. It should be extended for at least another hour..

Monsarret is a must see if you are in the Barcelona area. I just recommend going on a more leisurely and longer tour. I can't fault the tour company for this but we had only about 1 hr to do our own exploring and we wished we had more. I also wished you came down via the cog-wheel train. The tour takes you up via the train, but you meet back with your bus to come down the mountain the full way.

This is an amazing site to visit, however; I would recommend going up to the Monastery on your own. My daughter and I did the guided tour. It is a speed-version. We were only allowed an hour to explore. You need an entire day if you are going to see The Madonna, tour the museum and get a hike in. Will definitely return and spend the whole day here!

We all loved this day trip from Barcelona. The view to the Monastery is so beautiful, plus the Monastery itself and the cog wheel train ride. If ever I go back to Spain again I will definitely go back to Monserrat again. It was only a 3 hour tour, wish it could be longer like 5- 6 hours. We don't have enough time to explore coz the time is limited. we left Barcelona at 3pm and we have to return to the Bus by 6:05 PM. We were just rushing. Wish it could be longer. I would definitely give it a 5 star review if the tour was longer.

We took an afternoon tour - 3 to 730 PM, on our last day in Barcelona. It was worth it, did not have enough time for full appreciation of site but that was our problem as we dd not have enough time. Tour guide was good, we felt perhaps time was lost as tour was Eng/Span. Scenery spectacular, monastery inspiring. Quite amazing when you think about the logistics of the buildings on top of that steep mountain. A must see time permitting.

I enjoyed this tour immensely. If you can, walk up to the cross and see the most breathtaking views ever! Beautiful place and my tour guide was great! Worth every penny spent!

The train ride up the mountain and the Monastery and grounds themselves are wonderful and well worth a visit. My only complaint was the tour guide, although she was friendly, her English was extremely weak and at times hard to understand. And I thought her knowledge of the site was somewhat weak. She even told one of our group members that a Latin phrase etched on one of the monastery walls meant que sera, sera.

We really enjoyed the tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable. The mountain was beautiful and riding up on the Cog Train afforded fantastic views. Seeing the Black Virgin and Monastery was awesome. Be sure and buy some of the local cheese.

The trip uphill with a cog wheel train was exciting and equally thrilling with the down hill trip by bus. Our guide, Laura, was very entertaining and keep us informed all the way. The view uphill was fantastic.

We thoroughly enjoyed this train ride and tour of the monastery. The only negative is that our tour guide’s English was difficult to understand.

i love ancient history, the inside of the chuch is from the bizantine era, quite impressive, and we had a wonderful guide, i never had a mediocre italian turist guide, and Giovanna was no different, she spoke fluent english, was very knowledgable on the history of the place, and was very professional.

The your was well organized. Govana the guide was fantastic. My only complaint was that we had to make our way from the cruise terminal to Julia tour office which was an additional cost to bear by taxi Would have been better if we were given directions to use the shuttle provided at €5 to the town.

Good reasons to visit Montserrat*Views*Black Madonna*Boys Choir*Cog/rack Funicular railwayReasons not to take this Tour:-*There is nothing of interest on route and the guide only spends some 15 minutes with you on arrival,so no value in paying for their service.*The funicular included is not the steep and exciting Sant Joan, as you would expect, but the dull, unspectacular Cremallera. 13 Euros extra per person for the Sant Joan.*Though the brochure(online) states "all entrance fees included", the Museum is also not included. Again extra cost.*Boys Choir last performance is at 1pm, so no good for this tour.Cost of this tour for 2 people, 110 Euros.Cost effective alternative:-2 x Coach Tickets = 10.20 Euros2 x Funicular Sant Joan = 26 Euros2 x Museum entry = 14 EurosTotal = 50.20 Euros, plus travel am enables you to see the Boys Choir.Poor value, should have done better homework!!!

This was a great afternoon tour to Montserrat. The monastery and location are breathtaking! It was just enough time there, we got to see everything. Our guide was great...if you have a free afternoon in Barcelona I highly recommend this tour.

The trip was worth seeing but the tour guide was not much good. His iinstructions on things was poor. Other guides on the train up the mountain advised of good picture opportunities. he didn't. He left his mic on and spoke to himself not knowing everyone could hear.

Despite the long travel and no toilet stops in between, the views were immaculate from the top. Best advice i could give is to bring your own snacks as the food court up there had limited choice and food didn't taste that great. Also, bring a warm jacket as it gets really cold up there. Overall, a lovely experience

The tour guide was excellent, but for my taste, I think I would have preferred to hike part way. I thought we were going to be able to go into the monastery, but that was not allowed. There was not a lot to say and other than a beautiful view, I’m not sure what the tour was really about....
