Pasee por el barrio Holandés, un conjunto de edificaciones de ladrillo rojo único en Europa. El infame "Rey Sargento" Federico Guillermo I, conocido por el reclutamiento de hombres de gran estatura en su regimiento militar, mandó construir estas casas a mediados del siglo XVIII para acoger a la nueva comunidad de artesanos holandeses en Postdam.
Deléitese con el asombroso Palacio de Sanssouci, la residencia favorita de Federico el Grande, ubicada en un hermoso paraje con templos, iglesias y joyas arquitectónicas.
Tras cruzar el puente Glienicke, "puente de espías", visitaremos Cecilienhof, la residencia señorial del último príncipe heredero de Alemania, utilizada para celebrar la conferencia de Potsdam en 1945. Hablaremos de las conversaciones que tuvieron lugar entre Churchill, Truman y Stalin, quienes acudieron a tratar de vislumbrar el futuro de Europa y la Guerra Fría que tendría lugar durante la siguiente mitad de siglo.

This is an outstanding tour. Our tour guide was amazing! He had many issues to deal with in our group, some of the people were elderly and couldn't keep up so he offered them an alternative way to meet up with us that was easier and quicker. This is a long walking tour, so be sure you want to walk! It is very informative and you see a lot of things. We enjoyed it immensely. I think our tour time total was 11 hours, so make sure you understand that going in. We are happy we took it. Cal and Kathy

We took the 6 hour Potsdam tour with a great Irish guide who showed us the many sights of Potsdam and ending the last hour at Sansousi Palace. I would encourage everyone to stay at the Sanssouci Palace and take an audio guided tour which takes about an hour. The Palace tour is not included in the Potsdam Tour and reservations must be made in advance to tour the interior of the Palace. The Palace and grounds are everything you imagined in a King's home and grounds. It's easy to find your way back to Berlin by yourself but you will need a ABC ticket for the train. Potsdam was the highlight of our Berlin adventure.

Maria was a superb tour guide - extremely knowledgeable about Potsdam and German history, witty, and patient with an age-diverse clientele. This is a six-hour excursion, so wear comfortable shows, bring water, and snacks there is a half-hour lunch break. And take pictures!

Our guide was a wealth of information about the town of Potsdam, different eras of history, German history, in general which I knew little about, as well as navigating on various public transportation which would have been hard for me to fully figure out myself. He had a binder with helpful photos and documents to support his interesting narrative. I'm very happy to have done this trip.
