Disfrute de un día lejos del bullicio y ajetreo de Bogotá explorando la primera maravilla de Colombia y la historia de la leyenda de "El Dorado".
Desde su alojamiento, el trayecto a Zipaquirá, hogar de la legendaria catedral de sal, dura 1 hora.
Al llegar a Zipaquirá, comienza su aventura subterránea. Descubra los logros arquitectónicos del arquitecto bogotano Roswell Garavito Pearl y aprenda la historia de la explotación de sal en Colombia en el recorrido guiado en inglés o español por la Catedral de Sal de Zipaquirá.
De vuelta a la luz, disfrutará de una típico comida colombiana en uno de los mejores restaurantes de Zipaquirá. Disfrute de un plato de carne o pescado preparado de forma tradicional o elija la opción vegetariana.
Después del almuerzo, podrá descubrir la Plaza de la Independencia y la Plaza Mayor de Zipaquirá, con sus hermosas casas coloniales y su antigua iglesia, donde podrá tomar algunas fotos panorámicas de la ciudad. Después de esta breve visita turística, continuará hasta la laguna de Guatavitá.
Hará una breve caminata guiada en inglés o español y podrá disfrutar del hermoso paisaje mientras descubre la cuna de la leyenda de El Dorado, aprendiendo acerca de la importancia de la laguna para los indios muisca y su historia.
Tras visitar la laguna, pondrá rumbo a la pintoresca ciudad colonial de Guatavitá.
Dejando atrás Guatavitá, volverá a Bogotá, parando en nuestra última atracción, el mirador de La Calera, desde donde podrá tomar algunas fotos panorámicas de la capital de Colombia. La excursión finaliza con el traslado de vuelta al hotel en Bogotá.

Long day out to the north of Bogota which offers a range of experiences - geography, history, attractive townships and the famous salt cathedral - with a personal guide and driver.

Started my Colombia adventures with this magnificent excursion to the Salt Cathedral. It is not to be missed. Really a fabulous experience. Local lunch was good and gave you a feel for how the locals eat. And the hike up to the Lagoon will help you get rid of those calories that you consume while on vacation.

stunning day out. The walk up to the lake top was worth it as the lake looked amazing. The salt Cathedral was spectacular. the guide made the day and even helped make the Bogota traffic jams fly by. she was very knowledgeable and managed to answer most of my questions. If your in Bogota and can find a spare day do this tour

The tour to these sites was excellent! Booking online was easy. The local guide and driver arrived at my hotel on time to pick me up and take me out to the sites. The guide had great English and was very knowledgeable about the local area, the sites, the county and any other questions I could throw at her. She organized the logistics and local tours very well so there was no downtime waiting for certain tours etc to begin. I could not fault anything in regards to this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in seeing some cool places outside of Bogota. It's a big day, but certainly worth cramming in both sites in the one day to maximize the travel time.

Andrea the guide was AMAZING! I don't give 5 stars easily, but she was just epic! And Andreas the driver was great also. It was a long day, and traffic home was congested, but not even that could deter from the day. The Salt Cathedral was so lovely - and the walk to see Lake Guatavita while more than I anticipated was still quite comfortable and well worth it. Because it wasn't raining in the morning we visited the lake first, which was good. Andrea gave me enough time to look around the other towns, and helped me get a few extra things. Definitely recommend this trip!!!

The trip was a wonderful way to spend our last day in Bogota. Our guide, Paola, was friendly and very informative. The lake was beautiful and customs and history of the indigenous people interesting. The salt cathedral was much more impressive than expected. Highly recommended.
