Acerca de esta actividad
This tour starts at 08:00am from Bucharest. After one hour driving you will leave Romania and enter Bulgaria crossing the "friendship" bridge over the Danube. Danube river is the second largest river in Europe.

The first stop is at Ivanovo to visit Ivanovo Churches (listed by UNESCO since 1979) located in the valley of the Rusenski Lom river. The site is famous for the rock-hewn churches and their impressive XIII-XIVth century frescoes.

Then you will go to Veliko Tarnovo, one of the most interesting cities in Bulgaria built on the banks of Yantra river. Veliko Tarnovo is also known as the City of Bulgaria's Tsars. The city boasts an impressive fortress with the ruins of the former Tsarevets Palace and the patriarchal church, nowadays with modern and intriguing paintings. The medieval atmosphere is present everywhere in the city due to the old architecture and the narrow streets where you can see local craftsmen displaying their work.

The guide will recommend a fine local restaurant for a tasty Bulgarian lunch. Bulgarian wines are also known for their full favour.

The Village of Arbanassi is the last stop around 10 minutes from Veliko Tarnovo. Arbanassi is a quiet picturesque village preserving the medieval atmosphere through the old local architecture.

At the end of the day you will reach Bucharest after a two and a half drive through the beautiful landscapes of Bulgaria and Romania.

Our tour guide for this trip was Valentin. He was very courteous and knowledgeable, he spoke good English. Our visits to the Holy Rock Church, Veliko Tărnovo and Arbanasi were outstanding and I highly recommend. Tour started at 8am and we were back in Bucharest before 7p

This was a really interesting tour and our guide, Valentin, was great! The 3 sites visited are beautiful. We learned so much about the history of Romania and Bulgaria, and even had a traditional Bulgarian lunch.

Friendly, knowledgeable tour guide. Stops included early 4th century church with dragons and zodiac among interior religious paintings. Also enjoyed rediscovered cave monastery in high cliff wall.

poor tour guide and more like a baby sitter with few guide skills. Not a very good tour company partner for you.

It's a pretty nice tour. The town of Tarnovo is very beautiful. The best thing about the trip though was our guide Valentine who was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful and friendly. He made our trip very enjoyable. The worst part was the long wait at the border for passport control.

The is an unfair rating, but the only way I have to relate our experience. This Day Trip would perhaps be a great two-day trip, but as it is the trip involves sitting in a car for about 8 to 10 hours and visiting the sights for about four hours. So, in fact, we bailed out and did not complete the trip, wasting our money and time. Too bad.

Gabriel was our tour guide and he was absolutely phenomenal! Visiting Northern Bulgaria was a real treat and the sites visited were interesting and well planned. These were really off-the-beaten-path locations and they met or exceeded all my expectations. The church carved into the side of a mountain had some amazing frescoes! All day... well worth the time and price!!

Very nice and helpful guide Daniel but we spent too much time crossing the bridge between Romania and Bulgaria!
