Our guide was informative, funny, and well versed in the area. The horses are beautiful and it's good to get the back story on how they ended up pulling the wagons for the tours. Most people are severely uninformed on the truth about this type of business. These horses are lucky and treated SUPER well.

Very nice tour of downtown Charleston. The trips are on a lottery system to keep the carriages evenly disbursed over downtown. You could take the same tour and see a completely different section of the city. We got there early and they talked to us about the horses, where they came from, how long they had been there and the farm where they go for rest and relaxation. We went in March and they had blankets for the trip too. Everyone was very nice. The guide was very informative and fun! A very nice trip.

Austin and the dear horse,Bill, made the carriage ride through parts of Charleston very special. Our whole family of 9, all ages, enjoyed every minute. Austin's humor and knowledge were exceptional. We highly recommend Old South Carriage company.

It's a fun little tour to see the sights of Charleston. You don't get to see everything because thr route is a lottery pick so you could be sent anywhere. It was still enjoyable

Carriage Tour guide, Janice, was very fun and a wealth of information on the area. Stories of buildings and the people of past times added to our visit. Vern who pulled the carriage thru the town was fun the watch and gave us a smooth ride.

The tour was great. The only issue we had was that the driver was hard to hear. Next time we will take the private tour.

I would definitely recommend this tour. Charleston is beautiful. We stayed in Myrtle Beach for the week and drove to Charleston for the day. Next trip will be to Charleston directly!

Great fun, wonderful driver and guide, charming. Much better deal to buy on Viator than to book through the cruise ship's excursion desk!

The ride, the stories, the enthusiasm of the driver was wonderful. At some points she did make some things too political noting sanctuary cities is based on the actions of the confederates. She repeated herself too much about how we need to appreciate conderate history. Overall, it was great and I recommend it, but she should not try too hard for us to be okay with confederate history as no one questioned her or critiqued it.
