Acerca de esta actividad
The tour departs from Dubrovnik at 8:00, and the expected arrival to Ston is at 09:15. Ston is a city that thrives with cultural heritage and history. It is famous for its 14th-century walls which were built in the largest fortification project in Europe at the time. They are over 5,000 meters long, making them the longest city walls in Europe.
Ston is also home to the oldest saltworks in Europe. It was built in the 14th century, and it still operates today. What is more, it is a perfect area for oyster and mussles farming. You will have the option to go oyster tasting.
After Ston, you will head to Orebić, from which you will take a ferry to Korčula. On Korčula, you will take a guided tour through the town. During the tour, you will visit the home of Marco Polo, Saint Mark’s Church, the Bishop’s Palace, and many other significant architectural and historic buildings.
After the guided tour through Korčula, you will be left with free time to swim, eat, or just wander around the crooked streets of this medieval town.
Pelješac is known for its vineyards and wines. On your way back, you will visit to a local wine cellar to taste some authentic Croatian brandies and wines.
As you will also pass by the Trsteno arboretum – the oldest arboretum in Europe – you will also have the option to visit it, if the whole group agrees. Entrance to the arboretum is additional 50 Croatian kunas.
