Great, but for the lunch. We were and older group experiencing the Gran Canyon for the first time in our lives, so we wanted it to be memorable. It was. The trip was as described. The views were breathtaking with plenty of opportunity for once in a lifetime pics. Also, with entertaining hosts throughout, but the lunch buffet left a lot to be desired. It was very limited and not very tasty.

Our trip on the Grand Canyon Railway was great! The train ride was relaxing. our conductor was funny, knowledgeable and added a lot to the trip. From the train we boarded a bus that took us to lunch then to the lookout points where we were in awe of the Canyon. We didn't have to figure out the red or blue routes for hiking to the lookouts. And the driver had a lot of geological and historical information to share.

Great Experience on 1901 Historical Railroad. Loved our train car host "Amber Rose"... caring, funny, informational! Two fantastic musicians strolled the train singing for us. Train Robbery was a hoot. Bus driver drove us to two places on Rim was very informative and funny. Resturant buffet was bland cafeteria food, just ok. I suggest finding eating lunch your own.

The train ride was relaxing and enjoyable and we were able to admire the vast natural beauty in route to the Canyon. The bus tour took us to key spots along the southern rim and the guide was helpful with stories and context. We enjoyed it!

We were travelling with a moderately disabled person and a 4-year-old. The trip was perfect for us. The tour length was very good and satisfied our desire to see the Grand Canyon. The guide was careful to warn us about the dangers of the cliff edge and delivered clear guidelines on how to approach the site. This was greatly appreciated. The train ride was comfortable and well served. We enjoyed the entertainment.

We really enjoyed our day on the train and viewing Grand Canyon. We choose 1st class section because we wanted extra leg room, but the photos online which help describe the experience show a glass door seating area which is what I thought we were getting. Beware, 1st class doesn’t include this as it’s a special car section you would need to pay extra for in advance. However, the bus service to the sites and bus driver commentary was excellent. He explained when we got to certain sites we would have x amount of time and where to go. Also, the buffet he explained to us very good. Overall we had amazing trip and not driving our car into the park saved time from walking and made it more relaxing.

In our opinion, this is the best way to see the Grand Canyon. One gets an enjoyable train ride while being entertained both ways, a courtesy bus tour of the Canyon where we saw the canyon from three different locations. We purchased the lunch option and were driven to the restaurant for a buffet lunch. This was an all day event with little walking required and filled with, in addition to the wonderful sites of the Grand Canyon ( we spent around 4 hours at the canyon) enjoyable entertainment on the rail trip. It is well worth the money.

We had Nicholas in Car A as our tourguide. What a great young personality! Very funny, very engaged with everyone in our car on both the trip to the park and the return trip. Nick is a true 'gem'. The only thing that became a little irritating was all the different 'players' coming through the car that worked for tips. Guitar player on the way there, banjo player on the way back, train robbers . . a little too much. I think it would be better if the company included these and pay them from into the price of the trip, rather than have them working for tips.
