Alex was an energetic host who was passionate about the history, renaissance culture and the art works. We appreciated her enthusiasm and knowledge, and she was simply fun to hang out with for the day.

If you are English speaking and you take any Viator Tours you need to understand that you are totally relying on their piece of paper that says where you will meet. When you are at any of the tours it is you and thousands of people who do no speak English and its not like you are going to a business. You are walking around trying to figure out where the snap you are supposed to be and hoping you run into someone else who is looking for them as well. Usually it would be finding a person who was wearing a shirt that said whatever the local tour company name was on it. It was like finding a needle in a haystack daily when we had tours. Several of the tours we missed because we never did find a person at the designated spot that our tickets would say. We took 10 tours all from Viator during our two week honeymoon and we determined that we will NEVER use Viator again. It was an amazing trip and we loved Europe but every travel frustration we had during the trip was caused by Viator bookings going wrong somehow. The guides on the whole would take you so close to what you really wanted to see and then stall and talk about other stuff while you stood there wishing you could go around the corner to the actual thing you wanted to see. On two of our tours in Italy we joined the other members of the tour in saying thanks but we are done with you and we set out on our own. When you enter the museums you were not given a ticket by your guide. This was very frustrating because if you decided you wanted to stay there and look at more stuff you were not able because you didnt have a ticket. When we went to the Colosseum they told us twice we didnt have time for stopping but we could come back later. Then when we exited the area we were not able to come back without buying another ticket. Which we ended up doing. At the David they spent 45 minutes talking about some piece of art until finally over half the group left to walk around to the David.

What a tour! You'll love Florence once you understand more about its history and art. Eleonora, our tour guide, has great skills to explain and to show true highlights in Florence. She is the type of smart woman you would love to be friends with, and an excelent spanish speaker. Grazzie Eleonora!
