Countryside Dinner with Panoramic View in Kota Kinabalu

Acerca de esta actividad
Meet your guide at your hotel lobby in the afternoon and escape to the suburbs of Menggatal. Your driver veers off the main road through countryside roads for about 30 minutes as you ascend to 2,625 feet (800 meters) above sea level. Stop for a spectacular view of the city and surrounding Kota Kinabalu suburbs.

En route, catch a glimpse of a typical Dusun village where you may be able to see buffaloes grazing by the roadside and village children playing football in the field. On the other side of the Kokol hills, Mt. Kinabalu can be seen towering above the Crocker Range, the longest range in Sabah.

Hot Pot is on the menu for your countryside dinner at a hilltop restaurant. This typical Malaysian cuisine, locally known as 'steamboat,' is usually enjoyed among family and friend to encourage interaction while cooking and eating together. A pot of broth is placed on top of a gas cooker while a wide variety of raw ingredients are intermittently boiled and consumed as the dinner progresses. The flavors of the seafood and meat act as a base for the finale —normally, noodles.

For those who do not wish to cook their own dinner, a set dinner (vegetarian option available) can be requested at booking; however, due to cooler weather, alternative dishes may not retain their heat like a savory hot pot dinner.

After watching the sunset and the city lights illuminate the city, you are returned to your hotel in Kota Kinabalu.
