My husband and I enjoyed this tour a lot, but thought the art villages were more of an art market... I wish there was more clarification on this portion of the tour. However, the art villages we opted to visit were nice and we made purchases at both a fabric/silk village and a silver workshop - very pleased with the items we bought. We were able to stop by a few markets by the rice terraces and bought some local, handmade items. Our lunch overlooking the rice terraces was amazing! Tanah Lot was crowded, but beautiful and a great place to walk around and capture some photos! The Luwak coffee tasting was fun and unique! All and all, I would highly recommend this tour to Bali visitors, but would suggest a separate plan to visit the large art market in Ubud which did do the following day, in combination with the Monkey Forest.

Great guide, we went to the craft village first and saw silver smithing, then batik printing, then saw some local artists and then local wood carvers. later in the day wen to the terraced rice fields and finished at Tanah Lot. Got to see a lot in one day

We were the only people on the tour and the driver had no particular information to impart during the long journey. The trip was tiring and not remarkable in any way.

We bought this tour for 3 people, paying less than 40usd each and we got a private van and driver for the whole day, that accommodated to our minor tour modifications! Dude pronounced 'DooDee' was our guide and driver that day. We went to Tanah Lot first because he said in the afternoon it gets more crowded. It was a good choice because the temple was not packed still somehow crowded because it is a popular temple after all. Then we continued to Ubud, stopping at Mengwi Temple that was not in the original route. Which btw, I recommend you visit! Later we went to have lunch at a 'secret restaurant' called Boni Bali where you can eat while looking at the rice fields in Ubud. The view was amazing! The food quality was Very Good and price just Ok like an expensive hotel: 10-15usd for a complete meal, but still we would recommend that place as well. Then we stopped by the wood carving place. This was nice and we were about to buy some of the super great sculptures that they offer from around 100usd, but we didn't and we were VERY glad when we found the exact same sculptures at a local supermarket/souvenir shop in Nusa Dua for 10 of the price from 10usd. So be careful. Go and enjoy the explanations, but don't buy anything there. The same advice goes for the silver shop that you visit later. Finally we stopped by the luwak coffee place, we had a cup of that strange coffee and bought some tea and coffee. They even had a luwak alive, which was nice to meet. The Tanah Lot Temple is nice but was not the highlight of the trip. We really liked Ubud and the road itself!
