Hay tres autobuses que enlazan Livorno y Pisa para que pueda decidir libremente en qué momento visitar Pisa. Las salidas desde Livorno, Via Cogorano, cerca del punto de llegada del servicio de autobuses para cruceros, son a las 10.00 h para el primer trayecto, a las 12.00 h para el segundo y a las 13.40 h para el tercero. El servicio de autobuses le dejará muy cerca de la Piazza dei Miracoli en Pisa, que es también el punto de salida de regreso a Livorno.
Normalmente puede pasar de 2 a 2,5 horas en Pisa antes subir a los autobuses a las 13.00 h, las 15.00 h y las 16.40 h. This was a simple transfer, however, at the start the transfer was supposed to be at 1:40, yet the bus was delayed and so the transfer was at 2:00.. this made our time at "Pisa" shorter. A text was sent to my phone however, I did have internet so I did not know but I found out when other passengers started showing up later. The drop off point is about a 15 minute walk to the plaza, our driver said he would pick us up at 4:45 at the exact location where the drop off was, however, me and the other passengers where at the location at the exact time yet NO bus showed up, in the end another bus with cruise ship passengers( I was on a cruise ship so where the other customers) just came by and picked us up. I have no idea what would have happened if the bus did not show up. Very confusing, would not do it again.- review by cruisinbob
Definitely worth it. Tower really leans a lot! Transportation was easy to find and the operator let us on the earlier bus since we were there. Friendly but efficient.
Cruise ship shuttle took us directly to where the coach to Pisa goes from, so that was great. There were staff there to make sure we got on the right coach. Once in Pisa it was about a 10 minute walk to reach Pisa all on flat ground. Fascinating to see the Tower for real! Wifi wasn't working on the coach, but they said they were trying to get that issue fixed. Before we left I checked out where we were getting the coach to and from on google street view - so I felt more confident. EXCELLENT VALUE!!
This is the perfect little tour for those who are at the port of Livorno and have already toured Florence. It is a true bargain as you are transported via motor coach to and from the town of Pisa. If you wish to gain free entry to the interior of the cathedral go directly to the ticket office clearly marked as the free tickets as issued for assigned times. After the trip you will have plenty of time to explore Livorno before returning to your ship.

You get literally what you pay for. Book your tickets online in advance for the leaning tower however. More time would have been optimal but it was a great way and inexpensive to see the tower:
