The tour was very good and our guide provided lots of information and more than enough food to try. We visited a number of different stalls where we sampled a variety of food stuffs that we would not have discovered on our own.

Our guide Hamsa was a pleasure to spend time with, very knowledgeable about the local food scene and how to avoid the touristic places for the real deal. Well worth our time. The spice market is more about herbal medicine, and well worth the presentation.

We wanted to explore the 5 senses of all things Morocco and Marrakesh in a foodie perspective....we could not have been more delighted! This is a must do tour. Our guide was so graceful and amazing in his abilities to move us through the medina sampling everything from salty to sweet to meaty and savory...amazing in all ways. We had already seen some of the sights but he was able to take us through the labyrinths of perfectly peaked spices, teas and carnivore delights of all types:-. The meat section with pits roasting the lamb was absolutely amazing. After about 2 hours in the 1000 degrees of roasting the meat fell off the bone and was enough to give us two thumbs up from our neighbor Algerians...so we took a seat and followed their lead with a big chunk of lamb and finger smacking goodness! The cous cous was simply heavenly filled with clouds of flavour...I'm not sure how many hours it takes to create one of those tangines with the deliciously fresh vegetables and succulent chicken but paired with the cous cous it's simply divine! We topped off the tour with the menage or kitchen sink mix of freshly squeezed juices on the main square which could be either an excellent anti-oxidant or a super healthy energy drink. Highly recommend this tour.

This was the best thing we did in Morocco and we spent 14 great days there. Hamsa was a great guide and showed us so many amazing nooks and cranies of the medina that we never would have found ourselves. We loved the lamb shoulder, lamb liver, and sardine kefta.

Highlight of our trip to Marrakesh hands down. We scoured back alleys in search of the very best food Marrakesh has to offer. We started we piping hot lamb served from an oven dug into the ground that was one of the most delicious things we'd ever eaten. More highlights included spicy sardines Marrakesh style, cous cous tagine that melted in your mouth, warm special scallion pancake-like bread called msemmen. It was heaven. Hamza really loves food and he knew every hole in the wall and the place to get the best one of everything. On top of that he is smart, warm, and friendly, a Shakespeare scholar who spent time working at the Met in New York translating/researching religious texts and can just as easily carry a conversation about Noam Chomsky as the food you're eating. He also accommodated a vegetarian, no problem. Do this tour! It is magical
