Canyon Run Whitewater Rafting in Denali National Park

Head to one of the two conveniently located offices in the town of Healy or in Denali Park. Here, you'll check in with the office staff and sign an acknowledgment and release form.

Following check-in, get ready to brave the rapids by donning a custom-made drysuits. While these suits offer maximum protection from the glacial water they don’t provide insulation, so be sure to dress in warm, long-sleeved layers and socks underneath for both comfort and hygiene.

Once outfitted, you’ll be taken to the river by either van or bus, where you’ll receive a safety talk from your trip leader. Then it’s time to set out on your 2-hour whitewater adventure along the Nenana River. Along the way you’ll encounter more than 10 major class III and IV rapids, including the “Razorback,” “Iceworm,” and “Coffee Grinder.”

Enjoy this "mild to wild" ride through Nenana River Canyon, taking in the spectacular scenery of Denali National Park and towering Mt. Healy as your guide navigates the sturdy oar raft through wave-trains and hydraulics.

Your tour concludes with a return transfer to your original departure point.
