Eva was a great guide. We went to three different markets, had a morning history tour, ate tamales, tacos, a cricket, horchata, and some other local cuisine. You even go super local and take local transport to your stops! Great experience

While this was nominally a food tour, what you really get is a journey into the culture, people, and history behind some of the best and most interesting markets in the city. My guide Poncho was incredible and I got to meet some very friendly locals and try dishes catered to my interests as well as what the locals eat. Could not recommend it enough!

This was our second trip to Mexico City in the last 2 years. My husband and I truly enjoyed the local culture introduced by our guide, Caesar. We would highly recommend this tour to all travelers to Mexico City.

Hate to give this tour a low score because the tour guide was amazing and it was a wonderful experience. However, this tour does use local transportation, including the metro. When boarding the metro my phone of pick pocketed by a group shoving us into the train car. The tour guide was super kind during the situation, even telling authorities about the incident.

Oh yes! This tour was amazing! The markets and the foods/drinks that we had were super delicious and amazing. I loved everything about this tour. Our tour guide was super sweet. She spoke English very well and was very passionate about what she does. I will definitely recommend anyone who wants a local experience to take this tour! You will not regret it!

Alfonso was very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the area and was happy to answer multiple questions at length. He guided us to several local foodstands which served tasty, hygienic food. Unfortunately a couple of the items we wanted were not available at the first stand, but what we got was good. I was happy to introduce him to dorilocos, but I don't think it will be a specialty added to the tour!

Pili was an amazing tour guide. She was very knowledgeable, spoke great English, and indulged all my questions about how to say things in Spanish. The markets she took me to were off the beaten path for foreigners but full of locals, for good reason. I had literally the best taco in my life at the last market and was able to pick up souvenirs and try different food (grasshoppers!) along the way. On top of that, Pili gave me recommendations for other bars, restaurants, and coffee shops that i loved when i visited them the next day. I highly recommend this tour! It was a very unique and fun way to see a bit of everyday Mexico City life.

A wonderful introduction to the under belly of the real, everyday Mexico City. A relatively small group of about a half dozen, we walked, talked and tasted several markets, including a few off beat, such as the witchcraft, expertly led by an exuberant guide named Pili. She was a delight, and went beyond her tojurguide responsibilities to helpful us at the end of the tour,to help us score a few tickets to that evening's performance of the Ballet Folkloric at the Palacio de Bellas Artes.

Eva was a great guide. We had fun and learned quite a bit about the mercados we visited and the food culture. The food samples were generous and delicious. We enjoyed riding the Metro - something we didn't have the courage to do before the tour. Now we feel like pros! This tour offers something for everyone. Make sure you wear comfortable walking shoes and if you do eat breakfast before the tour, make it a very light one.
