Great guide. She was very upbeat and informative. The samplings were varied and delicious. We didn't have to go for lunch after the tour because we were full. Great job.

My husband and I loved our tour of these three areas of Rome. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable regarding the kinds of food that was most notable to these three areas. As we walked through these three areas she shared with us their history . We learned how food , culture and history affected Roman life.

We had a fabulous time walking around the various neighborhoods of Rome. Our guide was absolutely lovely! She was super knowledgeable and kind. She provided us with a great background on the food we were sampling, as well as pointed out important sites along the walk. This is the perfect tour to enjoy wonderful treats and lunch in my favorite areas of Rome! My 18-year old son and I loved it! Our guide from Gourmetaly was fantastic and full of great food and history tidbits. If you have yet to visit Rome, you can not miss these 3 amazing and charming areas. And, what better way to do so than to enjoy some very delizioso food - especially loved the Pasta Carbonara e Vino! It is a MUST tour!

I highly recommend this tour. We met our local guide, Valeria, next to a newsstand in a piazza near Campo de' Fiori. Valeria told us the newsstand is owned by her parents. There were 4 of us in the group so it truly was a small group. We began the tour at the farmer's market where there was a huge array of beautiful produce, along with a large assortment of other items. Valeria is extremely knowledgeable, very personable and dedicated to making sure each person in the group has an enjoyable experience. The food at every single place we went to was incredible. You are able to tell them when you book if you have any dietary restrictions and those are taken into consideration at each food stop. We stopped at a deli for prosciutto, buffalo mozzarella and another kind of cheese. A restaurant in the Jewish Ghetto where we had arancini, fried anchovies or sardines (I can't remember which) and fried zucchini blossoms stuffed with something delicious. My daughter can't eat dairy so she was given a gorgeous bruschetta instead. We then went to another deli where we had white pizza, rose pizza and porchetta that practically melted in my mouth. We had lunch at a restaurant in Trastevere where we had pasta, bread and wine. And finally, dessert, at a gelato shop in Trastevere which had some amazing gelato, which is where the tour ended. If you want to experience some really delicious local food and learn about the area from a warm, kind, knowledgeable local guide, do this tour.

It's the first time for us to join food tours. It was quite fun to eat around Rome with people who also have the similar hobby of eating. Our tour guide was very passionate about her work, so it made the tour very enjoyable. She explained to us about the restaurants and different kinds of food, etc. She even sent us recommendations after our tour! She really cares. The food we had were delicious as well. I would highly recommend this tour.

Our group first went to a family-owned bakery best known for panetoni. They make Roman style pizza(rectangular rather than round). The two we had were a potato and cheese, and margarita. The next stop in the Jewish quarter served us Roman rice balls and stuffed zucchini blossoms. The last stop gave us mozzarella ala buffalo, then our choice of pastas with a glass of wine. All were excellent, and our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend.

Met our guide Valaria near Camp de' Fiori who then led us to that market where she explained the market's operations, the various types of produce and it's origins if not grown in Italy, it's country of origin must be noted and the various types of vendors. Then the eating began...pizza from a forno oven, fried stuffed zucchini and fried rice balls, cheeses, salamis and gelato. All this as we walked through Trastevere and the Jewish Ghetto. Valaria was an incredible tour guide. Have already recommended this tour to friends headed to Rome.
