Salga de su hotel de Santiago por la mañana y diríjase hacia la costa. Su primera parada es en Pomaire, un pequeño pueblo donde los lugareños utilizan la arcilla de la zona para realizar gran variedad de platos, ollas y interesantes esculturas, entre otras artesanías.
Continúe hasta Isla Negra, una pequeña comunidad junto a una bonita playa flanqueada por pinos. Casa del Premio Nobel de Literatura chileno Pablo Neruda, podrá visitar el museo en la antigua casa dedicado a su vida. El edificio, que es excéntrico desde el punto de vista arquitectónico, alberga algunas de sus colecciones, incluidas botellas, mascarones de proa de barcos, conchas y otros artículos eclécticos.
Después de visitar el Museo de Pablo Neruda, tendrá tiempo libre para almorzar (coste adicional) antes de regresar a Santiago.

A bit expensive. Although we were fortunate to be the only two on this tour it did drag out to be a long day. I must mention the guide was extremely knowledgable, interesting, spoke excellent English and very easy to talk to. Unfortunately where we stopped for lunch even though the Resturant had good food lovely and staff, the heat of the day was exhausting, this was enhanced by no aircon in the Resturant.

If you only have enough time for one trip to the sea from Santiago, you should visit Isla Negra. Each of Neruda's houses contain the essence of the poet and so to visit them is to understand the man and his poetry to a greater degree.

It was a long drive to get to the destination. But it was well worth it. I was really happy that I could finally visit Isla Negra. When we arrived there, we were told there were a large group of people ahead of us and we would have to wait for 2 hours!. Fortunately, thanks to our guide's negotiation or contact , they put us ahead of the crowd after 30 minutes of wait. Since we had to return to Santiago in time for the flight home, it was rather unnerving. I wondered if it was possible to make a reservation ahead in the evening. We enjoyed the tour of the house and appreciated beautiful and majestic view of the Pacific Ocean. In spite of Satiago's notorious Friday evening traffic, we got back to the hotel with enough time to spare. Our guide and the driver was really nice and efficient and the guide spoke excellent English. However, I personally felt the visit to Pomaire was a waste of time. Wish there were a nicer place to visit and have a better lunch.
