Traiga su cámara y ábrase camino hacia el museo Trick Eye, situado en el animado barrio de Seúl, Hongdae, repleto de estudiantes de la Universidad de Hongik y con populares clubes nocturnos. El museo está inspirado y recibe el nombre de trompe-l'oeil, una técnica de arte que utiliza imágenes realistas que engañarán a sus ojos mediante una ilusión óptica que hace que objetos pintados aparezcan en 3D.
En su interior, aparecen y cobran vida pinturas bidimensionales en las paredes, suelos y techos del museo, y han sido especialmente diseñadas para que pueda hacerse fotos. Deje volar su imaginación mientras se adentra en las pinturas y capta las poses más creativas con su cámara. El personal del sitio está disponibles para ayudarle para que pueda conseguir el arte trompe-l'oeil.
Dé un paseo por diversas salas temáticas, llamadas Masterpiece, Fantasy, Adventure, Comic, Romantic, Bon Voyage e Illusion Painting. Saque fotos que muestran como sale de un retrato, coge dinero que sale volando de un volquete y saque una enorme pieza de sushi de un marco de fotos.
Déjese llevar por el "Mirror Maze"; o cambie de ritmo y eche un vistazo a un programa educativo sobre mitología griega o una exposición actual de un artista contemporáneo.
Reduzca la temperatura en el museo del hielo, ubicado en el interior del museo Trick Eye. Camine por una cocina y un salón, asista a un programa de televisión, pasee en un coche y tire las riendas de un trineo, todo hecho enteramente de hielo.
¿Tiene sed o necesita un aperitivo? Acérquese a la sala principal, decorada como Santorini, en Grecia, y acomódese en la cafetería para tomar una taza de café orgánico caliente y una magdalena (por cuenta propia). Mire sus fotos en una mesa que, efectivamente, funciona con trompe-l'oeil: una mano sale de la mesa para el café.

We were staying in a hotel in the Gangnam district, of Seoul, so it was a bit a journey across town to the museum (1.5 hours by taxi - it was 20 minutes to go back, later in the evening), however it was fun. Included was the visit to the Ice Museum, which was a bit of a temperature shock (it was 26° outside, so we were in t-shirts and shorts and it was -2° inside so we were rather under-dressed), which was small but well set up. The trick eye museum itself, was a lot of fun, for all the family (teenager to adult) and was a great way to unwind at the end of a long day, which had included a long plane flight. Certainly worth a visit, to fill up a day or to do something not too serious, during your visit.

Was really hard to find took a taxi and got lost. Much smaller than we anticipated however the displays were pretty cool, especially if you downloaded the Trick Eye app, unfortunately, my phone overheated and we had to turn it off so we didn't get a many pictures as we would have liked. Took about 1 hour to tour entire museum and not really worth the cost..

Had so much fun, totally a different kind of museum. Download the app to get the “trick-eye effect”. We got lost going there because the area looks totally different and a lot busier compare to what the area looks like on the internet. We eventually found it but one can ask for directions there.

At first, we had a hard time finding the place but eventually came across the sign. We came in at around 6pm and most of the shops inside the museum were already closed by the time we were finished. The museum was very fun though you really have to bring a tripod to take amazing photos. We also went to the Ice House which was very cold so better bring an extra jacket when you plan to go here. The area nearby, Hongik University has many restaurants, shopping places, and street music or performers so it's entertaining to stroll around the place.
