Half-day Walking tour of Namdaemun market and Seoul Tower

i was really impressed by Ben's tour. He has a lot of knowledge about the history, architecture, and culture of Seoul. He shares a lot of insider knowledge that you can't get from most city tours. There is a lot of symbolism in Korean culture and in Seoul's buildings, and Ben explains it very well. For example, the old city wall has these kind of spaces or windows in the stone, and as Ben explained, there are different types of openings that the soldiers used depending on the weapon and depending on how close the attacker was. He also told us about the the Korean flag and what its symbols mean, along with many other things that I would never have known about. He does a really good job weaving together the historical events of Seoul with information about the buildings and landmarks. You will see these places from different vantage points, where you can take some really nice photos. The tour moved at a good pace, not too fast and not too slow, and there are times when you can sit down in an air conditioned bus, for instance! Ben took care of everything - tickets and entrance fees at each place - and showed us where to enter for the Nanta show. The show was really entertaining and a perfect way to end the day.
